Have you ever known something so thoroughly that you became part of what you know? Been so immersed in something, like a fish swimming in water when it is difficult to discern exactly where the motion of fish ends and the water’s current begins?
The prophet Jeremiah perceived a day when:
No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other, “Know the LORD,” for they shall know me from the least of them to the greatest …Jeremiah 31:34 (NRSV)
Can you imagine a day when learning about God would be mere trivia for how every person lived would fully reflect the love of God to forgive one another.
I will have more to say about Jeremiah 31:31-34 at Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church at 8:15 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 20th.

Jesus told a parable about a woman asking for justice from an unjust judge to teach us about prayer. The woman asked over and over again, and eventually the judge gave her what she needed.
Part of prayer is asking God for help. Sometimes we have to ask over and over again. And surely God will give us what we need.
