Many people think of missionaries as people who travel to the far corners of the world bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ with them.
Yet, relative to Jerusalem, we are already standing on a far corner of the world.
[Jesus] said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.”Luke 24:46-48
Merely by identifying oneself as a Christian, a follower of Jesus, we become his witnesses. Everything we say and everything we do reflects on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. At least in our corner of the world.
What are you saying on your corner of the world about Jesus Christ? How will you be a witness today?
I will have more to say about Luke 24:44-53 here by 8 AM Sunday, May 24th.

A Tip for Parents
Dear friends, don’t be surprised or shocked that you are going through testing that is like walking through fire.1 Peter 4:12 (CEV)
When Peter wrote this letter Christians were being hurt horribly. Yet Peter told Christians they should not show how bad they felt, but do good thing for other people.
In our time, some people feel that they are suffering because they cannot go wherever they want and gather with many of their friends. But Peter would like us to show how happy we are that Jesus is with us everyday and show our care for our friends with a phone call or video chat.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we continue to suspend in-person worship. By 8 AM Sunday, May 24th, a video of this worship service will be embedded here. After that time, you will also be able to view worship on a smart-TV through YouTube by searching for Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church.
As disciples of Jesus Christ we give so that we may dedicate the whole of our lives by sharing a portion of what we earn with others.
Although COVID-19 has forced us to curtail all in person groups, meetings, classes, …, even office hours. Yet we continue other ministries. For example: Wednesday Bible Study, Sunday school for children and the Fellowship Hour all meet via video-teleconference.
In these unusual times we deeply appreciate your giving through your bank or by clicking our button. We continue to check our mailbox regularly so you may mail your check to us.
Moment for Mission
Our friends at Beth-El Farmworker posted this video to tell us about their support of those who put food on our tables.
